Paintings have extraordinary power—they are not just pigments on canvas; they are gateways to emotions, a celebration of beauty, and a medium through which abstract or spiritual concepts find their voice

Nails
2020
Acrylic and Nailpolish on Woodpanel

Influenced by Michelangelo's renowned masterpiece, The Creation of Adam, my interpretation of the iconic hands is situated within a rosy, cloud-filled backdrop, adorned with long, sparkling nails, imbuing the composition with a unique and captivating aesthetic.

Dream Dancer
2023
Gouache on Canvas
16"x20"
During my upbringing, I engaged in numerous dance classes, consistently captivated by the vitality and dynamism inherent to dance.
I have always been fascinated with movements and the energy in dance that is unique from other art forms. In this particular painting, my objective is to encapsulate the essence of this movement, even within the confines of a static image. The gracefully elevated limbs, the flowing costume, and the subtle hint of a smile collectively convey the profound joy and grace evoked by the art of dance.

Building upon the theme of encapsulating the dynamism of dance within a painted canvas, this piece draws inspiration from the art of dance photography, particularly employing the technique of using extended shutter speeds to capture motion. Within this painting, the viewer gains the unique perspective of witnessing the fluidity of arms, head, and legs in continuous motion, as various frames coalesce and overlap to create a striking visual narrative.

Earthly Robe

Gouache on Canvas

Prints available on Instagram (8"x10")
This painting serves as a reminder of the transient nature of our physical bodies, like garments that clothe our souls. Eventually, the day arrives when this earthly robe will gracefully slip away, allowing our souls to embark on a journey elsewhere.

Lighting Portrait
2023
Gouache on Canvas
12"x18"
Drawing inspiration from photography references, I've been creating unique portraits adorned with dynamic lighting and exceptional compositions. My proficiency in Photoshop grants me the capability to manipulate the hues and intricacies of the original photographs, thereby fashioning these edited images into invaluable references for my paintings.
In the case of the featured photo, I was particularly drawn to the captivating interplay of light and shadow, which conspired to create a tapestry of striking patterns across the model's face and skin.

Blue Sunrise

This painting draws inspiration from Claude Monet's iconic work, Impression, Sunrise. By employing an array of blues and incorporating textured elements into the paint, the composition transports viewers to a mesmerizing dreamscape, where they are immersed in the ethereal beauty of a sunrise over the ocean.

Flowers of One Garden and Waves of One Sea
2017
Acrylic on Canvas
6'x8'
In 2017, I received the honor of crafting a mural in commemoration of the bicentennial celebration of the birth of Baha'u'llah, recognized as the Manifestation of the Baha'i faith. This painting draws profound inspiration from His teachings, particularly those emphasizing the unity of humanity and the importance of embracing diversity.

"The utterance of God is a lamp, whose light is these words: Ye are the fruits of one tree, and the leaves of one branch. Deal ye one with another with the utmost love and harmony, with friendliness and fellowship. He Who is the Daystar of Truth beareth Me witness! So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth."
– Baha’u’llah, Epistle to the Son of the Wolf, p. 14.
